Contraindications

• Patients allergic to cetirizine, paracetamol/acetaminophen or pseudoephedrine should avoid this medicine. It is also contraindicated for patients who are taking MAO inhibitors or have stopped taking them within the past 2 weeks. Patients with severe high blood pressure or coronary artery disease should not use this medication.

Overdose and Missed Dose

• An overdose of this medication may cause symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, sweating and confusion. Later symptoms may include upper stomach pain, yellowing of skin or eyes, dark urine, liver failure and even death. Immediate medical attention is required.
• If you miss a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as you remember. If it is close to the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule.

Management of Side Effects

• If you experience nausea or stomach pain, try taking this medication with food.
