Contraindications

Other Medications to Avoid

• Chlorpheniramine Maleate + Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide + Phenylephrine may interact with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (like isocarboxazid, linezolid and methylene blue), sedatives (such as diazepam and zolpidem).

Overdose and Missed Dose

• An overdose of this medication may lead to severe drowsiness, seizures, widened pupils, nausea, vomiting, fast heartbeat (tachycardia) and hallucinations. If these symptoms occur, seek immediate medical attention.

• If you miss a dose, take the missed dose as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue with your regular dose schedule. Do not double up the dose to make up for a missed one.

Management of Side Effects

Most side effects are temporary and generally harmless and resolve when discontinuing this medicine. However, if you experience any severe side effects or worsening of any of the symptoms, please consult your doctor.

• If you are feeling dry mouth or throat drink water frequently or chew sugarless gum.

• If you are feeling constipated increase the intake of fibre in your diet.

Use in Driving and Operating Machinery

• This combination of medications may cause drowsiness or dizziness. Therefore, if you feel drowsy or dizzy after taking this medicine, avoid driving or operating heavy machinery.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation

• Consult your doctor before using Chlorpheniramine Maleate + Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide + Phenylephrine if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or breastfeeding.

Caution in Other Conditions

• Patients with liver or kidney disease, heart disease, high blood pressure, seizures, glaucoma, diabetes, and those with enlarged prostate glands should exercise caution when taking this medication. Consultation with a doctor is advised.
