• Fenofibrate + Rosuvastatin can be taken orally (tablet).

Age And Dose Restrictions 

• This combination is meant to be used for adults only. It is not recommended for children.

Contraindications 

• It is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to fenofibrate or rosuvastatin. 

Medications To Avoid With This Drug

• Avoid taking immunosuppressants (cyclosporin), HIV medications (lopinavir/ritonavir or atazanavir/ritonavir), coumarin anticoagulants, other lipid-lowering medications (gemfibrozil), and bile acid resin (cholestyramine). These medications may alter the safety and effectiveness of this combination.

Overdose And Missed Dose

• If an overdose occurs and leads to severe side effects or worsening of any of the symptoms, it needs to be managed as an emergency in a hospital setting. Therefore, strict adherence to the prescribed dose is essential.
• If you miss a dose of this combination, take it as soon as you remember. But, if the next dose is near, skip the missed dose and resume the regular dosing regime.

• Take this combination with food to reduce gastrointestinal side effects and continue taking it as prescribed. If side effects worsen or persist, consult your doctor for a possible treatment plan adjustment.

Use In Pregnancy And Lactation

• Caution is advised during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Caution In Other Conditions

• Caution is advised in older adults and in patients with preexisting gallbladder disease, skeletal muscle disorders, hypothyroidism, type 2 diabetes and severe kidney or liver problems.

• Avoid drinking alcohol with this combination due to the increased risk of muscle problems.
• Continue taking this combination as prescribed by a doctor.
