CompositionNovastat-TG 10 Tablet is used to lower high cholesterol and triglycerides in adults with mixed dyslipidaemia. It is a combination medicine containing rosuvastatin (a statin) and fenofibrate (a fibrate).
It helps lower LDL (bad) cholesterol and triglycerides, raise HDL (good) cholesterol and reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke. Take it with or without food in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor. Continue it even when your cholesterol reports look normal.
Cut down on saturated fat, fried food, ghee, sweets and maida, stay physically active, maintain a healthy weight and stop smoking to support better blood fat levels.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have liver or kidney problems, and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Report unexplained muscle pain, tenderness, weakness or dark urine straight away, as the risk of muscle problems may be higher with this combination. Ask your doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
