Age and Dose Restrictions

• This combination medicine is intended for use in adults. It is not recommended for children or adolescents.

Contraindications

• Glimepiride + Metformin + Sitagliptin is contraindicated in patients with type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis.
• It is also contraindicated in patients with known allergy to any of the three active ingredients.

Other Medications to Avoid

• Glimepiride + Metformin + Sitagliptin may interact with carbonic anhydrase inhibitors (such as acetazolamide and dichlorphenamide), strong CYP2C8 inhibitors (such as gemfibrozil), and medications that reduce metformin clearance (such as ranolazine, vandetanib, dolutegravir).

Overdose and Missed Dose

• An overdose of this combination medicine may lead to symptoms such as hypoglycaemia, lactic acidosis, severe nausea, vomiting or diarrhoea. If you suspect an overdose, seek medical help immediately.
• If you forget to take a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is nearly time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not double-dose to make up for a missed one.
