Contraindications

• Ramipril + Telmisartan should not be used by individuals with known hypersensitivity to either component of this combination.

• It is also contraindicated in patients with severe liver impairment, severe kidney impairment, and in patients who have experienced angioedema (swelling underneath the skin) related to previous ACE inhibitor or ARB therapy.

Other Medications to Avoid

• This combination may interact with NSAIDs (such as ibuprofen, naproxen) and potassium-sparing diuretics (like spironolactone and eplerenone).

Overdose and Missed Dose

• Overdosing on Ramipril + Telmisartan could cause severe hypotension (low blood pressure), shock, electrolyte disturbances, and kidney failure. If you suspect an overdose, contact your doctor immediately for guidance.

• In case you miss a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as you remember. If it is close to the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dose schedule. Do not double the dose to catch up.

Management of Side Effects

Most side effects are temporary and generally harmless and resolve after discontinuing this medicine. However, if you experience any severe side effects or worsening of any of the symptoms, please consult your doctor.

• To manage dizziness or lightheadedness, sit or lie down until the symptoms pass. Try to get up slowly if you have been sitting or lying down.

• If you experience dry mouth, try sipping water or sucking on ice cubes.

Use in Driving and Operating Machinery

• Ramipril + Telmisartan may cause side effects such as dizziness or tiredness which may affect your ability to drive or use machinery. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how this medication affects you.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation

• Ramipril + Telmisartan is not recommended for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. If you are pregnant, think you may be pregnant or are breastfeeding, consult your doctor before using this medication.

Caution in Other Conditions

• Care should be taken when using Ramipril + Telmisartan in patients with kidney disease, liver disease, or heart problems.
