Abhayrab Vaccine 1

Abhayrab Vaccine is used for:

• Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP): Preventing rabies in individuals exposed to potentially rabid animals, such as dogs, bats, or wild animals.
• Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP): Protection for individuals at high risk of rabies exposure, such as veterinarians, animal handlers, and laboratory workers.

• This vaccine must be administered by a healthcare professional.
• For post-exposure prophylaxis, it is given as a series of doses starting immediately after exposure.
• For pre-exposure prophylaxis, a specific schedule is followed as per your doctor’s recommendation.

This vaccine is administered intramuscularly, typically into the deltoid muscle (upper arm) for adults and older children. For young children and infants, the anterolateral thigh muscle may be used.

Abhayrab Vaccine contains an inactivated rabies virus (1500 IU).

• This vaccine stimulates the immune system to produce protective antibodies. These antibodies neutralise the rabies virus, preventing it from multiplying and causing the disease.

• Store Abhayrab Vaccine in a refrigerator between 2°C and 8°C. 
• Do not freeze.
• Keep this vaccine in its original packaging to protect it from light.
• Keep out of reach of children.

• Maintain a healthy diet to support immune function during the vaccination schedule.
• Stay hydrated and rest if you experience side effects like fatigue.
