• Management after a myocardial infarction or heart attack, caused by blockage of blood supply to the heart muscles.

• Prevention and control of ischemic stroke, where blood supply to the brain is interrupted due to a clot.

• Management after a transient ischemic attack (TIA or mini-stroke).

• Prevention of blood clots following surgical procedures such as knee or hip replacement.
