Actocef 1000 Injection 1

Actocef 1000 Injection 1 is used to manage:

• Respiratory tract infections like pneumonia
• Skin and soft tissue infections
• Urinary tract infections (UTIs)
• Sexually transmitted infections such as gonorrhoea
• Intra-abdominal infections
• Bone and joint infections
• Meningitis (an inflammation of the protective membranes covering the brain and spinal cord)
• Septicaemia (bloodstream infection)

Administer Actocef 1000 Injection 1 as follows:

2. It can be given intramuscularly or intravenously, depending on the severity of the infection.

Actocef 1000 Injection 1 is administered intravenously (IV) or via an intramuscular (IM) route.

Actocef 1000 Injection 1 contains ceftriaxone (1000 mg) and works on your body in the following ways:

• Interferes with Cell Wall Formation: Ceftriaxone disrupts bacteria's ability to form cell walls, which provide structural integrity to bacterial cells.
• Causes Cell Rupture: By weakening the bacterial cell wall, ceftriaxone causes the cells to burst open or rupture.
• Clears Infection: The rupture of bacterial cells leads to their death helping clear up the infection.
• This bactericidal activity of ceftriaxone makes it effective against a wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.

1. Make sure to keep Actocef 1000 Injection 1 in a cool, dry place with temperatures between 15-30°C.
2. It should be shielded from light and moisture.
