Alaspan Tablet 10

Alaspan Tablet is used to manage symptoms of allergies such as hay fever, conjunctivitis (red, itchy eyes), eczema, hives (urticaria), and reactions to insect bites and stings. It also helps reduce sneezing, runny nose, itchy nose and throat, and provides relief from itchy, watery eyes caused by allergens like pollen, dust mites, and animal dander. Additionally, it helps alleviate itching and redness due to hives and certain food allergies.

Here are some instructions for taking Alaspan Tablet:

• For specific advice on how to take this medicine, consult your doctor.
• Do not take more than the recommended dose unless suggested by your doctor.
• Do not stop taking the medicine before the completion of the prescribed course without consulting your doctor.

Alaspan Tablet is taken orally.

Alaspan Tablet contains loratadine (10 mg), which acts on the body in the following ways:

• Blocks H1-Receptors: Loratadine works by competitively blocking histamine from binding to H1 receptors located in the nose, eyes, and skin.
• Reduces Inflammation: By preventing the release of other allergy-causing chemicals, loratadine effectively reduces inflammation and soothes symptoms of allergic rhinitis and urticaria.
• Non-Sedating: Unlike first-generation antihistamines, loratadine does not easily enter the brain from the blood and hence causes less drowsiness.

• Store Alaspan Tablet at room temperature between 2°C and 30°C.
• Keep them in their original package, safeguarded from light and moisture.
• Use the rapidly disintegrating tablet immediately after opening the individual blister pack.
• Ensure that it is stored out of reach of children.
• Always check the expiry date before taking this medicine.

• If you have allergic rhinitis, aim to keep your home as dust-free as possible, reducing exposure to dust mites.
• If you're managing urticaria (hives), avoiding known triggers such as certain foods, alcohol, or extreme temperatures can help manage your symptoms.
