Alciflox D Eye/Ear Drops are used for managing the following health conditions:

• Bacterial infections in the eyes

Follow these instructions when using Alciflox D Eye/Ear Drops:

• Ensure your hands are clean before handling the drops.

• For eye application, tilt your head back, gently pull down your lower eyelid, and place 1-2 drops into the eye.

• For ear use, lie down with the affected ear facing upwards. Put 2-3 drops into your ear and remain in this position for a few minutes.

• After using, replace the cap on the bottle immediately.

• Avoid touching the dropper tip to any surface to prevent contamination.

Alciflox D Eye/Ear Drops contains three active components:

• Ciprofloxacin (0.3%): This is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that works by inhibiting two critical enzymes in bacteria: DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV. By disrupting these enzymes, ciprofloxacin interrupts DNA replication in the bacteria, leading to their death.

• Dexamethasone (0.1%): As a corticosteroid, dexamethasone acts by binding to intracellular glucocorticoid receptors in your body's cells. This action modulates gene expression and suppresses inflammatory mediators, reducing inflammation in the affected areas.

• Benzalkonium Chloride (0.02%): Serving as a preservative in this medicine, benzalkonium chloride disrupts bacterial cell membranes. This action provides additional antimicrobial activity against infection-causing bacteria.

• Store Alciflox D Eye/Ear Drops at a temperature not exceeding 30°C.

• Avoid exposure to light and moisture.
