Aldactone 100 Tablet is used for the following:

• Helps manage fluid overload and reduce hospital visits related to heart failure.

• Lowers blood pressure, reducing the risk of strokes and heart attacks.

• Useful when fluid and sodium restrictions are ineffective in cirrhotic patients.

• Used when treatment, fluid/sodium restriction, and other diuretics aren't sufficient for nephrotic syndrome.

• For preoperative and long-term use in patients with adrenal adenomas or hyperplasia.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Avoid breaking or chewing it.

• Do not exceed the recommended dose without speaking to your doctor first.

• It's crucial not to stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor.

Aldactone 100 Tablet is taken orally.

Aldactone 100 Tablet contains spironolactone (100 mg), which works on your body as follows:

• Aldosterone Receptor Competition: Spironolactone competes with aldosterone receptors in your kidney tubules.

• Sodium and Water Excretion: By binding to these receptors, spironolactone promotes the excretion of sodium and water from your body.

• Potassium Retention: The medicine helps your body retain potassium, thereby managing fluid overload and lowering blood pressure.

• Oedema Management: This action contributes to treating oedema associated with various heart, liver, and kidney disorders.

• Store Aldactone 100 Tablet in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight; ideally at room temperature below 30°C.
