Alfusin D Tablet is used for the following:

• Easing symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in adult men: This includes difficulty starting to urinate, a weak urine stream, and an increased urge to urinate frequently or urgently, especially at night.

• Helping to improve urine flow: By relaxing the muscles in the prostate and bladder neck, this medicine makes it easier to pass urine.

• Reducing the size of an enlarged prostate gland: This medicine works by decreasing levels of a specific hormone linked to prostate growth.

Here's how you should use the Alfusin D Tablet:

• Take this medicine regularly as prescribed by your doctor.

• Always take the medicine at the prescribed time.

• Do not change the dosage on your own.

• It is important to maintain the recommended diet while taking this medicine.

Alfusin D Tablet is taken orally.

Alfusin D Tablet contain two active ingredients:

• Alfuzosin (10 mg): This ingredient works as an alpha-1 adrenergic receptor antagonist. It blocks these receptors in the smooth muscles of your prostate gland and bladder neck. As a result of blocking these receptors, the muscles relax, making it easier for you to urinate.

• Dutasteride (0.5 mg): This component belongs to a class of medicines known as 5-alpha-reductase inhibitors. It inhibits an enzyme called 5-alpha-reductase, which converts testosterone into dihydrotestosterone (DHT). By reducing the production of DHT, dutasteride helps shrink the prostate gland over time. This leads to improved urine flow and reduced BPH symptoms.
