Alight Plus Gel 15gmis utilised for the following:

• Management of acne vulgaris, a skin condition resulting in spots and pimples

• Reduction of inflammatory lesions, characterised by red, swollen acne

• Control of non-inflammatory acne lesions, such as whiteheads and blackheads

• Normalisation of skin cell turnover to maintain healthy skin

• Reducing the growth of acne-causing bacteria

• Ensure the affected skin area is clean and dry before applying the gel.

• Apply a thin gel layer on the affected area using your fingertip or a clean cotton swab.

• The amount needed will depend on the size of the affected area. A pea-sized amount is often enough for your face.

• Gently massage the product onto your skin.

• Remember to wash your hands after applying to avoid spreading bacteria.

Alight Plus Gel 15gmconsists of two active ingredients:

• Clindamycin (1%): A lincosamide antibiotic, clindamycin inhibits protein synthesis in bacteria by binding to specific parts of bacterial cells called 50S ribosomal subunits. It is effective against Propionibacterium acnes, a bacterium associated with acne development.

• Adapalene (0.1%): This retinoid-like compound works by binding to specific receptors in your skin cells called retinoic acid receptors (gamma and beta). These receptors play a crucial role in controlling skin cell growth and inflammation, both of which are involved in acne development. Adapalene's action leads to reduced formation of microcomedones (tiny skin blockages), one of the first stages of acne lesion development, and decreased skin inflammation.

• Store your Alight Plus Gel 15gmbelow 30°C.

• Keep it in a dry place, protected from light.

• Do not let it freeze.

• Make sure you place it out of reach of children.

• Follow a diet rich in fruits and vegetables, as these contain antioxidants which may help improve your skin health, reducing acne inflammation.

• Minimise your exposure to sunlight and ultraviolet rays since these can worsen acne and increase skin sensitivity while using Alight Plus Gel. Use sun protection when outside.
