Althrocin Liquid 60ml

Althrocin Liquid Suspension is used in the following conditions:

• Respiratory infections: This suspension is effective against respiratory infections caused by bacteria, including diphtheria, pertussis, and legionnaires' disease. It is also prescribed in some cases of pneumonia caused by susceptible strains of bacteria, as it can help combat the infection in the respiratory tract.
• Intra-abdominal infections such as intestinal amebiasis: This suspension can treat intestinal amebiasis, an infection caused by the protozoan parasite Entamoeba histolytica.
• Skin and skin structure infections: This suspension is also used for mild to moderate skin and skin structure infections caused by susceptible bacteria.
• Female pelvic infections (gonorrhea): For female pelvic infections like gonorrhoea, this suspension can be part of the treatment regimen. It targets the bacteria responsible for the infection and can be prescribed with other appropriate medications.
• Urethritis: This suspension is also used to treat urethritis, an inflammation of the urethra often caused by bacterial infections. It helps to alleviate symptoms and resolve the underlying infection.
• STDs such as syphilis: In the case of syphilis, this suspension may be used as part of the treatment regimen for early-stage syphilis, primarily when patients have a penicillin allergy or cannot tolerate penicillin-based antibiotics. It helps to control the bacterial infection.

• Shake Althrocin Liquid Suspension bottle well before use.
• Use the provided measuring cup or dropper to measure the correct dose of the suspension.
• Keep the bottle well-capped after use.

Althrocin Liquid Suspension is taken orally.

Althrocin Liquid Suspension contains the following component:

• Erythromycin (125 mg): It is a macrolide antibiotic that blocks bacteria's ability to make essential proteins. This interference hinders bacterial growth, weakening and ultimately killing the bacteria.

• Store this medicine at a temperature below 25 ºC.
• Keep Althrocin Liquid Suspension away from children.
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date has passed.

• If you have respiratory Infections, consider quitting or avoiding smoking during your illness, as it can worsen respiratory symptoms.
• Practice good hand hygiene to prevent the spread of the infection. 
• Follow any wound care instructions given by your doctor for skin infections.
• Take antibiotics as prescribed and complete the full course to ensure the infection is completely treated.
• Practice safe sex by using barrier methods like condoms to prevent reinfection or transmission to partners.
• Get regular check-ups and screenings for sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
