Amoxyclav DS Syrup is an antibiotic that treats bacterial infections of the ear, nose, and throat, as well as infections of the chest, lungs, teeth, skin, and urinary tract. Amoxyclav DS Syrup can be given to your child with or without food. It is preferable to take it with food because this improves absorption and reduces the chance of stomach upset. The doctor may advise you to take it twice or three times a day. The amount of medicine your child receives is determined by the severity of the infection, its type, and his or her weight and age. As a result, keep to the dose, timing, and method recommended. If your child vomits the drug within 30 minutes of taking it, give him or her time to settle down before giving another dose.
