Apigat 2.5 Tablet 30

Apigat 2.5 Tablet is used for the following conditions:

• Reducing the risk of stroke and systemic embolism in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation

• Prevention of deep vein thrombosis in patients post hip or knee replacement surgery

• Protection against pulmonary embolism for patients who have gone through hip or knee replacement surgery

• Treatment and prevention of recurring deep vein thrombosis

• Management and prevention of recurrent pulmonary embolism.

Administer Apigat 2.5 Tablet as follows:

• Swallow the whole tablet with a glass of water.

• Do not break, chew, or crush the tablet.

• Follow your doctor's instructions on when to take the medicine.

• Never self-adjust the dosage without consulting your doctor first.

Apigat 2.5 Tablet is taken orally.

Apigat 2.5 Tablet contains apixaban (2.5 mg), which affects your body as follows:

• Selective Factor Xa Inhibition: Apixaban works by selectively inhibiting Factor Xa in your blood. Factor Xa plays a crucial role in the blood clotting process.

• Thrombin Generation Reduction: By inhibiting Factor Xa, apixaban effectively diminishes thrombin generation.

• Thrombus Development Decrease: Lowering thrombin production leads to a drop in thrombus development, which are clumps of blood cells that cause blood clots.

• Store Apigat 2.5 Tablet at a stable temperature below 30°C.
