Arkamin Tablet 10

Arkamin Tablet is used for the following:

• Treatment of high blood pressure
• Management of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder
• Prevention of migraine headaches
• Relief of menopausal hot flashes
• Management of postoperative pain
• Control of neuropathic pain conditions
• Relief of chronic pain syndromes
• Lowering the risks of heart attack and stroke
• Protection of vital organs from hypertension damage
• Regulation of attention and impulsivity issues

Follow these instructions while taking Arkamin tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
• Take this medicine with or without food as advised by your doctor.
• Do not crush, break or chew the tablet.
• Take the medicine at the exact times each day to maintain its effect.
• Rise slowly from sitting or lying positions to prevent dizziness.
• Never stop taking this medicine suddenly without consulting your doctor.
• If you wear contact lenses, you may experience dryness in your eyes.

Arkamin Tablet is taken orally.

Arkamin Tablet contains clonidine (0.1 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Alpha receptor stimulation: Clonidine stimulates specific alpha receptors in the brain, particularly in an area called the brainstem, which helps control blood pressure.
• Blood vessel relaxation: By acting on these brain receptors, it causes the blood vessels throughout your body to relax and widen (dilate), making it easier for blood to flow through them.
• Heart rate reduction: The medicine slows down your heart rate, which contributes to lowering blood pressure and reducing the workload on your heart.
• Sympathetic nervous system regulation: Clonidine reduces the activity of your sympathetic nervous system, the part of your nervous system that raises blood pressure and heart rate and causes the "fight or flight" response.
• Prefrontal cortex action: In ADHD management, clonidine affects the prefrontal cortex of the brain, helping to regulate attention, impulsivity and hyperactivity.

• Store Arkamin Tablet at room temperature in its original packaging.
• Keep the medicine in a tightly closed container to protect it from moisture.
• Store away from direct sunlight.
• Keep out of reach and sight of children.
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date printed on the package.

• Reduce salt intake: Limiting sodium in your diet helps manage high blood pressure. Try using herbs and spices instead of salt to flavour your food.
• Regular physical activity: Aim for 30 minutes of moderate exercise (like brisk walking) most days of the week to help lower your blood pressure naturally.
