Arvast F-10 Tablet is used for the following:

• Managing primary hypercholesterolemia, which involves elevated bad cholesterol levels

• Controlling mixed dyslipidemia, a condition with high levels of bad cholesterol and triglycerides

• Reducing hypertriglyceridemia, characterised by high blood triglyceride levels

• Increasing good cholesterol levels in the body

• Lowering the risk of heart attack, stroke, and need for procedures to improve blood flow to the heart in patients with multiple risk factors for coronary heart disease

Here's how you should take Arvast F-10 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Avoid crushing or chewing the tablet.

• You can take it with or without food as per your preference.

• Do not exceed the recommended dose without consulting your doctor.

• It's important not to stop taking this medicine without speaking to your doctor first.

Arvast F-10 Tablet is taken orally.

Arvast F-10 Tablet acts through two active ingredients that work in different ways to improve lipid levels:

• Fenofibrate (67 mg): This component activates peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor α (PPAR-α), a nuclear receptor that regulates the metabolism of lipids and lipoproteins. It reduces the production and increases the clearance of triglyceride-rich lipoproteins, increases the production of HDL cholesterol, and promotes the elimination of LDL cholesterol.

• Rosuvastatin (10 mg): This ingredient competitively inhibits HMG-CoA reductase, the rate-limiting enzyme in cholesterol biosynthesis. It increases the number of LDL receptors on liver cells, enhancing uptake and catabolism of LDL cholesterol. It also inhibits hepatic synthesis of VLDL, the precursor of LDL, and reduces total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, and triglycerides.

• Keep Arvast F-10 Tablet in a cool, dry place, ideally at room temperature below 30°C.

• Protect from moisture and light to maintain the tablet's efficacy.

• Always maintain this medicine out of reach of children.

• Remember to consume Arvast F-10 Tablet before its expiry date to ensure its effectiveness.

• Adopt a low-fat, high-fibre diet to help manage high cholesterol levels. Include plenty of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains in your meals.

• Regular physical activity can also aid in controlling your cholesterol levels. Aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise most days of the week.
