Ascodex LS Syrup is used for managing a range of respiratory conditions, including:

• Easing symptoms of acute and chronic bronchitis

• Helping manage bronchial asthma

• Providing relief in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)

• Aiding in the management of bronchiectasis

• Assisting in managing pneumoconiosis

• Use a measuring spoon or cup to ensure the correct dose is given.

• Note that this medicine is sugar-based and needs caution for use in diabetic individuals. If you have diabetes, consult your doctor before taking this medicine.

Ascodex LS Syrup is taken orally.

Ascodex LS Syrup contains three active ingredients:

• Ambroxol (30 mg): This is a mucolytic agent that acts by breaking down substances in the respiratory tract, making the mucus thinner and less sticky. This action helps in clearing mucus through coughing and ciliary action. Ambroxol also possesses anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.

• Guaifenesin (50 mg): An expectorant that works by increasing the volume and reducing the thickness of respiratory tract secretions. It acts by stimulating certain receptors which promote mucus secretion, helping to lubricate the irritated respiratory tract and aid removal of stubborn mucus.

• Levosalbutamol (1 mg): A selective beta-2 adrenergic agonist that relaxes bronchial smooth muscle by stimulating specific receptors. This results in the widening of airways, making breathing easier. Levosalbutamol also has anti-inflammatory properties.

• Keep Ascodex LS Syrup in a tight container at a temperature below 25°C.
