It contains azithromycin, an antibiotic from the macrolide class that stops bacteria from growing and multiplying by blocking protein production. Take this tablet as prescribed, at the same time each day where possible, and complete the full course to prevent the infection returning.
Drinking plenty of water, getting adequate rest, eating light and nutritious meals, and avoiding smoking can help support recovery from a bacterial infection alongside this medicine.
Tell your doctor about any liver problems, heart rhythm issues, or allergy to macrolide antibiotics before starting this tablet. Report any severe diarrhoea, yellowing of the skin or eyes, or irregular heartbeat immediately.
