Augmed 625 Tablet 10

Augmed 625 Tablet is used for managing the following conditions:

• Respiratory tract infections, such as community acquired pneumonia and acute bacterial sinusitis

• Urinary tract infections

• Skin and soft tissue infections

• Dental infections including dentoalveolar abscess

• Bone and joint infections

• Intra-abdominal infections

• Genital infections, including uncomplicated gonorrhoea

• Septicaemia or blood poisoning caused by bacteria

• Peritonitis, an inflammation of the inner wall of the abdomen

• Postpartum endometritis prophylaxis to prevent infection after childbirth

• Eradicating Helicobacter pylori bacteria involved in peptic ulcer disease

To use Augmed 625 Tablet properly, follow these steps:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Take the tablet at the start of a meal to enhance absorption and minimise gastrointestinal intolerance.

• Never crush or chew the tablet.

• Always remember not to exceed the recommended dose without consulting your doctor.

• Do not stop taking this medicine without prior advice from your doctor.

Augmed 625 Tablet is taken orally.

Augmed 625 Tablet contains two active ingredients:

• Amoxicillin (500 mg): This is a semi-synthetic antibiotic that works by inhibiting the formation of bacterial cell walls. By doing so, it weakens the cell wall structure and causes the bacteria to burst open and die.

• Clavulanic Acid (125 mg): This is an inhibitor which prevents certain bacteria from becoming resistant to amoxicillin. It acts by blocking the activity of bacterial enzymes that could potentially break down amoxicillin. This ensures that amoxicillin remains effective against these bacteria.

• Store Augmed 625 Tablet in a cool and dry place.

• Protect it from direct light and moisture.

• Keep it out of reach and sight of children to prevent accidental intake.

• Always check the expiry date on the packaging before using the medicine.

• In case you're taking Augmed 625 Tablet for urinary tract infections (UTIs), ensure you drink plenty of water to dilute your urine and help flush out bacteria.

• If you're using this medicine for respiratory tract infections, avoid smoking and exposure to secondhand smoke as it can worsen your condition.
