Azarga Eye Drops 5ml

Azarga Eye Drops are used for the following:

• Reducing increased intraocular pressure (IOP) associated with open-angle glaucoma

• Managing elevated eye pressure in cases of ocular hypertension

• Preventing optic nerve damage and vision loss from persistently high eye pressure in glaucoma

Azarga Eye Drops should be administered as outlined below:

• Before use, ensure your hands are clean.

• Tilt your head back slightly and pull down the lower eyelid to create a small pocket.

• Hold the dropper above the eye and squeeze out a drop.

• Close your eyes for 2 to 3 minutes with your head tilted down, without blinking or squinting.

• Avoid touching the dropper tip against your eye or anything else to avoid contamination.

• If you wear contact lenses, remove them before using Azarga Eye Drops. Wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting them.

• For specific advice regarding your condition, consult your doctor.

Azarga Eye Drops are applied topically.

Azarga Eye Drops contain multiple active components that work together to reduce eye pressure:

• Brinzolamide (1%): This ingredient is a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor. It works by reducing the production of a fluid called aqueous humour in the eye. This action helps decrease the intraocular pressure.

• Timolol (0.5%): Classified as a beta-blocker, timolol also contributes to lowering eye pressure by decreasing the formation of aqueous humour. It is thought to achieve this by blocking beta receptors in the eye.

• Benzalkonium Chloride (0.01%): This component doesn't directly affect eye pressure but is included as an antimicrobial preservative. It helps prevent bacterial contamination of the eye drops.

• Store Azarga Eye Drops at a temperature range of 2°C to 25°C.

• Keep the bottle out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources.

• Always ensure the bottle is tightly closed when not in use.

• Keep out of reach and sight of children.

• Use before the expiry date printed on the bottle.
