Azit 500 Tablet 3

Azit-500 Tablet is used for managing the following conditions:

• Respiratory tract infections, like pneumonia and bronchitis

• Nose and throat infections such as sinusitis, pharyngitis, and tonsillitis

• Ear infections, specifically otitis media

• Skin conditions like cellulitis and folliculitis

• Eye troubles, particularly conjunctivitis

• Urinary tract infections

• Gastrointestinal issues, including typhoid fever

• Certain sexually transmitted infections, for example, gonorrhoea and genital ulcer disease

When using Azit-500 Tablet, please follow these guidelines:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Avoid chewing, crushing or breaking the tablet.

• Taking this medication at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal is important.

• Always remember to complete the entire course of the medicine, even if you start feeling better.

• You should consult your doctor for specific advice on how to use this medicine.

Azit-500 Tablet is taken orally.

Azit-500 Tablet contains azithromycin (500 mg), which acts on the body as follows:

• Protein Synthesis Inhibition: Azithromycin halts an essential process called protein synthesis, which bacteria need to survive and multiply.

• Growth and Spread Prevention: By halting protein production, azithromycin effectively stops the growth and spread of bacteria causing the infection. This enables your immune system to fight off the infection more easily.

• Keep your Azit-500 Tablet at room temperature, ideally between 30°C.

• Avoid locations with direct sunlight, high heat or moisture; a cupboard or drawer is ideal.

• Always keep out of the reach and sight of children for safety.

• Check the expiry date on the pack and avoid using the medicine past this date.

• For respiratory tract infections managed by Azit-500 Tablet, consider reducing exposure to outdoor air pollutants. This could mean avoiding outdoor activities during peak pollution hours.

• If you have a urinary tract infection, increase your fluid intake. This can help flush bacteria from your system, aiding in more effective infection management.
