Azusa 16 Tablet 10

Azusa 16 Tablet is used for the following:

• Managing stage I hypertension: This is when your systolic blood pressure (the top number) is between 130-139 mmHg or your diastolic blood pressure (the bottom number) is between 80-89 mmHg.

• Managing stage II hypertension: In this case, your systolic blood pressure is 140 mmHg or higher, or your diastolic blood pressure is 90 mmHg or higher.

Here is how you must use Azusa 16 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not break, chew, or crush the tablet.

• The tablet can be taken with or without food.

• Always follow your doctor's instructions on how and when to take this medicine.

Azusa 16 Tablet is taken orally.

Azusa 16 Tablet contains Azelnidipine (16 mg), which works in the following way:

• Selective Calcium Influx Inhibition: Azelnidipine selectively blocks the influx of calcium through L-type voltage-gated channels present in vascular smooth muscle cells. This process causes relaxation of these muscle cells.

• Peripheral Vasodilation: This relaxation widens or dilates peripheral blood vessels, decreasing peripheral vascular resistance.

• Blood Pressure Reduction: This reduction in resistance leads to a decrease in blood pressure levels, helping manage hypertension effectively.

• Long Duration of Action: Azelnidipine has a gradual onset but a long duration of action, which sustains the control of high blood pressure levels for an extended period.

• Store Azusa 16 Tablet below 30°C in a cool and dry place.

• Keep it away from direct light and moisture.
