Betnovate M Cream is used for managing the following:

• Itchy and inflamed fungal skin infections like ringworm

• Athlete’s foot, a type of fungal infection on the foot

• Jock itch, a fungal infection in the groyne area

• Inflammatory skin conditions prone to fungal overgrowth such as eczema

• Dermatitis is inflammation of the skin that can lead to itching and redness

• Psoriasis, a condition that speeds up skin cell growth causing scales and red patches

• Intertrigo, inflammation caused by rubbing of skin folds

• Candida infections in skin folds like the groyne, underarms, under breasts.

To use Betnovate M Cream correctly:

• Ensure that the affected area is clean and dry.

• Apply a thin layer of cream to cover the infected area.

• Gently massage the cream until it completely disappears into the skin.

• Wash your hands immediately after application unless your hands are being treated.

• For specific advice on duration and frequency of use, consult your doctor.

Betnovate M Cream is applied topically.

Betnovate M Cream contains two active ingredients:

• Betamethasone (2 %): This potent glucocorticoid steroid works by binding to specific receptors inside your skin cells. This process suppresses the release of substances that cause inflammation in your body. As a result, it effectively reduces swelling, itching and redness associated with various skin conditions.

• Miconazole (0.12 %): This imidazole antifungal agent acts by disrupting the cell membrane of fungi. By interfering with the synthesis of ergosterol – an essential component of the fungal cell membrane – miconazole increases fungal cell permeability. This results in leakage of cell contents leading to the death of fungal cells.

• Keep Betnovate M Cream stored at a cool temperature, ideally below 25°C.

• Avoid freezing the cream or exposing it to extreme heat.

• Keep it in a dry place, out of direct sunlight.

• Always keep this medicine out of the reach of children.

• For fungal skin infections like athlete's foot, maintaining good foot hygiene is essential. Dry your feet thoroughly after washing and change socks regularly to keep the area clean and dry.

• For conditions like eczema and dermatitis, avoid potential irritants such as harsh soaps or detergents. Opt for hypoallergenic products instead.
