Bilagra Syrup 60ml

Bilagra Syrup is used for managing the following conditions:

• Allergic rhinitis in children aged 6 to 11 years weighing at least 20 kg. This includes both seasonal and perennial types of allergic rhinitis, which are characterised by symptoms such as sneezing, itchy nose, runny nose, and watery eyes.

• Urticaria in children aged 6 to 11 years weighing at least 20 kg. Urticaria, often referred to as hives, is a skin condition that causes red, itchy bumps to appear on the skin.

• Shake the bottle well before use.

• Use the measuring cup provided with the bottle to measure the correct dose.

• This medicine is sugar-based and needs caution for use in diabetic patients. If your child has diabetes, consult your doctor before giving them this medicine.

• Always keep the bottle tightly capped after use.

Bilagra Syrup is given orally.

Bilagra Syrup contains bilastine (2.5 MG) as its active ingredient:

• H1 Receptor Antagonist: Bilastine binds selectively to peripheral H1 receptors in your child's body. These receptors play a key role in allergic reactions by responding to histamine, a chemical the body releases when it thinks it's under attack from an allergen.

• Anti-allergic Properties: By binding to these H1 receptors, bilastine blocks the action of histamine, thereby reducing symptoms such as itching, redness, swelling, and increased vascular permeability commonly associated with allergies.

• Long-acting Effect: Bilastine is long-acting, which means its effects last over a longer period of time, allowing for once-daily dosing. This can be particularly beneficial in managing chronic conditions like urticaria or perennial allergic rhinitis in your child.

• Store Bilagra Syrup at a temperature not exceeding 30°C.

• Keep it away from direct sunlight and moisture.

• Ensure the bottle remains tightly closed.

• Always keep this medicine out of reach of children.

• Use the syrup within six months of first opening the bottle.

• If your child suffers from allergic rhinitis, try to minimise their exposure to common allergens like dust mites and pollen. Regularly cleaning their living environment can assist in managing symptoms.

• Avoid giving children with urticaria foods that could trigger hives, such as strawberries or nuts. Always consult your doctor about any dietary restrictions or modifications for your child's specific condition.
