Composition

Nimesulide (100 Mg) + Paracetamol/acetaminophen (325 Mg)

Biogesic-P Tablet is primarily used to manage pain and inflammation in a variety of conditions. It's a combination medicine that belongs to the class of analgesics and anti-inflammatory drugs.

In addition to managing pain, this tablet is also utilised for delivering symptomatic relief in osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, dysmenorrhoea (painful menstrual periods), dental, ear and throat pains, post-operative pain and musculoskeletal pain. It can also assist in relieving headaches and migraines.

Before starting this medicine, you should consult your doctor, who will advise you on the correct dosage and frequency. Make sure you inform your doctor about any pre-existing health conditions or ongoing medications. If you notice any side effects while on this medication, inform your doctor immediately. For optimal results, continue using the medicine for the entire duration prescribed by your doctor.

Directions for Use of Biogesic P Tablet 10

Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
Do not crush or chew the tablet.
Take this medicine after meals to minimise any potential stomach upset.
It's crucial that you don't take more than your doctor has recommended. If you're unsure about the dose, consult your doctor.

Dyspepsia: This term refers to indigestion or discomfort in the upper abdomen.

Skin rash or itching: These are reactions of the skin that may appear in red, bumpy, scaly, or itchy areas.

Nimesulide (100 mg): As part of the NSAID family, this component works by obstructing the cyclooxygenase (COX) enzyme, which is responsible for creating prostaglandins that cause pain, fever and inflammation at sites of injury or damage. By inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis, Nimesulide effectively reduces inflammation.
Paracetamol (325 mg): This component is a para-aminophenol derivative with analgesic and antipyretic properties. While its exact mechanism of action isn't entirely clear, it's believed that it works primarily by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis in the central nervous system (CNS). This action leads to an increase in the pain threshold and a reduction of fever. Paracetamol has weak anti-inflammatory activity.

Pregnancy
