Burnol Cream is used for the following health conditions:

Here's how you should use Burnol Cream:

• Ensure the affected area is clean and dry before application.

• Gently apply a thin layer of the cream onto the burnt area using clean fingers or a sterile gauze pad.

• Avoid breaking any blisters that may have formed during application.

• You can reapply the cream 2 to 3 times a day, or as directed by your doctor.

• Wash your hands thoroughly before and after applying the cream.

• The treated area can be left uncovered or loosely covered with a sterile bandage.

Burnol Cream contains two active ingredients:

• Aminacrine Hydrochloride (0.1 gm): This ingredient is part of the acridine class of compounds. It interacts with bacterial DNA and RNA synthesis: this means it disrupts protein production and other vital processes in bacteria, eventually causing bacterial cell death.

• Cetrimide (0.5 gm): This is a quaternary ammonium antiseptic. It works by disturbing bacterial cell membranes and changing proteins' structure, causing leakage of intracellular components. It effectively kills Gram-positive and some Gram-negative bacteria.

Together, aminacrine and cetrimide work to prevent and manage infections in burnt areas during the healing phase, showing more effectiveness combined than when used individually.

• Store Burnol Cream in a tightly closed container at room temperature, not exceeding 30°C.

• Keep the cream away from direct light and moisture to maintain its effectiveness.

• Make sure the cream is out of children's reach to avoid accidental misuse.

• Stay hydrated: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water, to support skin health and facilitate healing after burn injuries. Hydrated skin heals faster and reduces scarring.

• Protect your skin: When stepping outdoors, always wear sun protection such as sunscreen, wide-brimmed hats, or long-sleeved clothing. This will prevent further sunburns and protect any burns that are healing from sun exposure.
