It is also prescribed for chest infections and duodenal ulcers caused by Helicobacter pylori. By inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, it helps in managing peptic ulcer disease effectively.
The tablet is also used to manage upper and lower respiratory tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, dental infections, and middle ear infections. It's beneficial in eradicating Helicobacter pylori bacteria, thereby reducing the risk of duodenal ulcer recurrence. Furthermore, it's utilised in preventing and treating disseminated Mycobacterium avium complex (MAC) disease in HIV patients.
