Cefaclass O Tablet 10

• Uncomplicated urinary tract infections

• Complicated urinary tract infections

• Acute pyelonephritis, a sudden and severe kidney infection.

• Uncomplicated cervical/urethral gonorrhoea, a sexually transmitted infection that affects the cervix and urethra.

• Pharyngitis/tonsillitis (infections causing inflammation in the throat and tonsils)

• Acute bronchitis, a condition that causes inflammation and infection of the bronchial tubes

• Acute bacterial exacerbations of chronic bronchitis

• Community-acquired pneumonia, a type of pneumonia caught from the community, not from a hospital or care facility

• Skin and skin structure infections

• Uncomplicated cystitis, an infection causing inflammation of the bladder

• Swallow this medicine whole with water.

• Do not break, crush or chew the tablet before swallowing.

• You can take this medicine with or without food, as per your comfort.

• Ensure to maintain good hydration during your course of this medication.

Cefaclass-O Tablet is taken orally.

Cefaclass-O Tablet consists of two components:

• Cefixime (200 mg): As a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic, cefixime functions by binding to and inactivating specific proteins inside the bacterial cell wall. By doing so, it disrupts the formation of the cell wall causing the bacteria to break apart and die.

• Ofloxacin (200 mg): This fluoroquinolone antibiotic works by inhibiting essential enzymes in bacteria called DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV. These enzymes are necessary for DNA replication and repair in bacteria. By disrupting these processes, ofloxacin effectively kills bacteria.

Working together, cefixime and ofloxacin deliver a potent antibacterial effect against a broad range of bacteria, reducing the likelihood of resistance development compared to using either agent alone.

• Keep your Cefaclass-O Tablet in its original packaging.

• Store at a controlled room temperature between 20°C to 25°C.

• Protect from moisture and direct sunlight.

• Make sure to keep the medicine out of reach of children.

• Always remember to use this medicine before its expiry date.

• If you're managing urinary tract infections with Cefaclass-O Tablet, increasing your water intake can help flush the bacteria out of your system.
