Cefi O 200 Tablet is used to manage the following health conditions:

• Infections of the respiratory tract, such as pneumonia or bronchitis

• Urinary tract infections, caused by bacteria in the bladder or kidneys

• Ear infections, including those affecting the middle and outer ear

• Certain sexually transmitted diseases, when prescribed by a doctor

Here's how to take Cefi O 200 Tablet correctly:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not chew or crush the tablet.

• Take this medicine at evenly spaced intervals for maximum effectiveness.

• Continue taking the medicine for the full course prescribed by your doctor, even if you start feeling better.

Cefi O 200 Tablet is taken orally.

Cefi O 200 Tablet works with a dual-action mechanism due to its two active ingredients:

• Cefixime (200 mg): This component works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis. Simply put, it stops bacteria from building their protective walls. Without these walls, bacteria can't survive and therefore, the infection clears.

• Ofloxacin (200 mg): This ingredient belongs to a group of antibiotics called fluoroquinolones. It enters bacterial cells and stops key enzymes - DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV - which are essential for bacteria to copy and repair their DNA. By disrupting these processes, ofloxacin kills off the bacteria and halts the infection from spreading further.

• Store Cefi O 200 Tablet at room temperature, ideally below 30°C.

• Keep the medicine safe from exposure to direct light, heat and dampness.

• Always keep it in its original packaging.

• Ensure it's kept safely out of reach of children.

• Use before the expiry date printed on the pack.

• During a bacterial infection, maintain a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and lean proteins to support your immune system.

• Stay well-hydrated, especially if you're experiencing diarrhoea which can be a side effect of Cefi O 200 Tablet. This helps replace lost fluids and aids digestion.
