Claribid Oral Suspension contains clarithromycin (125 mg) as its active component. Here's how it works:

• Binding to 50S ribosomal subunit: Clarithromycin attaches itself to the 50S ribosomal subunit present in susceptible bacteria. The 50S ribosomal subunit is a part of the bacteria's protein-making machinery.

• Inhibiting peptide translocation and bacterial protein synthesis: Once bound, clarithromycin hinders peptide translocation - a step in protein synthesis - thereby stopping the creation of new proteins by the bacteria.

• Preventing bacterial growth and replication: By disrupting the process of protein synthesis, clarithromycin halts bacterial growth and replication, effectively managing the infection.

• Store Claribid Oral Suspension at room temperature, not exceeding 30°C.
