Coversyl 4mg Tablet is used for the following:

• Reducing the risk of cardiovascular events in patients with stable coronary artery disease: This refers to a situation where the arteries that supply blood to the heart muscle become hardened and narrowed.

Coversyl 4mg Tablet contains one active ingredient known as perindopril (4 mg). Here's how it works in your body:

• ACE Inhibition: Perindopril inhibits an enzyme in your body called angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE). This enzyme usually helps produce a hormone called angiotensin II.

• Decreased Angiotensin II: By inhibiting ACE, perindopril reduces the levels of angiotensin II in your blood. Angiotensin II usually narrows your blood vessels and releases another hormone that increases salt and water retention in your body.
