Cresp 40 Injection 0.4ml

Cresp 40 Prefilled Syringe is used for the following:

• Managing anaemia in adults and children suffering from chronic kidney disease

• Assisting patients on dialysis due to chronic kidney disease

• Aiding patients not on dialysis but with chronic kidney disease

• Mitigating anaemia effects in adult patients with non-myeloid malignancies undergoing myelosuppressive chemotherapy

• Providing support during a minimum of two additional months of planned chemotherapy post initiation

Administer Cresp 40 Prefilled Syringe as follows:

• Cleanse the injection site on your upper arm, thigh or abdomen.

• Follow your doctor's instructions to administer this medicine subcutaneously (under the skin).

• Intravenous injections may be used for adult chronic kidney disease patients upon doctor's advice.

• After use, dispose of the prefilled syringe safely to prevent accidental needle sticks.

Cresp 40 Prefilled Syringe is administered subcutaneously.

Cresp 40 Prefilled Syringe contains Darbepoetin Alfa (0.04 MG) which works in your body as follows:

• Stimulates Red Blood Cell Production: Darbepoetin alfa is a man-made type of erythropoietin, a hormone naturally produced by your kidneys. This hormone stimulates the production of red blood cells in your bone marrow.

• Increases Oxygen-Carrying Capacity: By increasing red blood cell levels, darbepoetin alfa improves the oxygen-carrying capacity of your blood. This helps alleviate symptoms like fatigue and shortness of breath associated with anaemia.

• Activates Erythropoietin Receptors: Darbepoetin alfa binds to and activates erythropoietin receptors on red blood cell precursors in your bone marrow. This activation promotes the survival, proliferation, and differentiation of these precursor cells into mature red blood cells.

• Store your Cresp 40 Prefilled Syringe between 2°C and 8°C, in a cool and dry place.

• Avoid exposing it to direct sunlight or moisture.

• Keep it out of reach and sight of children.

• Engage in regular light exercise as it can help improve fatigue and weakness associated with anaemia.

• Maintain a diet rich in iron, like leafy greens and lean meats. This supports red blood cell production, complementing the effects of Cresp 40 Prefilled Syringe.
