Crixan 500 Tablet is primarily used to manage a wide range of mild to moderate bacterial infections. It belongs to the class of medicines known as macrolide antibiotics.
In addition to this primary use, this tablet is also employed in the management of various other conditions. These include infections of the upper and lower respiratory tract such as sinusitis, pharyngitis, bronchitis, and community-acquired pneumonia. It's also used for skin and soft tissue infections, otitis media (middle ear infection), dental infections like periodontitis, and Helicobacter pylori eradication in peptic ulcer disease (in combination with other agents). Furthermore, it's used for the prevention and management of disseminated Mycobacterium avium complex (MAC) infections in HIV patients.
