CTD-T 12.5/40 Tablet is recommended for the following:

• Control of high blood pressure, also known as essential hypertension.

• Situations when a single medicine isn't effective in managing high blood pressure.

• Circumstances where the patient is likely to benefit from multiple medicines to manage their blood pressure.

Here are the steps to take CTD-T 12.5/40 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Don't crush or chew the tablet.

• Ensure you take the medicine around the same time each day, ideally in the morning.

• Do not alter your dosage without consulting your doctor.

• Consult your doctor before stopping this medicine.

CTD-T 12.5/40 Tablet is taken orally.

CTD-T 12.5/40 Tablet comprises two active ingredients:

• Chlorthalidone (12.5 mg): As a diuretic, chlorthalidone promotes the excretion of water and electrolytes (sodium and potassium) from your body via the kidneys. This reduces the volume of blood in your body, hence decreasing your blood pressure.

• Telmisartan (40 mg): This is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB). It works by preventing the binding of angiotensin II to AT1 receptors in various tissues. This action inhibits the vasoconstrictor (blood vessel narrowing) and aldosterone-secreting effects of angiotensin II, causing your blood vessels to relax and widen, thus lowering your blood pressure.

• Store CTD-T 12.5/40 Tablet in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture.

• The ideal storage temperature is between 15-30°C.
