Dapacose-M 10 Tablet is used for the following:

• Improving blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus

• Assisting diet and exercise in managing blood glucose levels in type 2 diabetes

• Decreasing the risk of hospitalisation due to heart failure in adults with type 2 diabetes and established heart disease or multiple cardiovascular risk factors.

Here's how you should take Dapacose-M 10 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water, preferably in the morning with your breakfast.

• Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet before consuming it.

• Stick to your doctor's prescribed dose; do not change it without consulting your doctor.

• If you have kidney problems or are undergoing a radiology procedure involving contrast, discuss with your doctor about whether you should continue taking this medicine.

• Do not stop taking the medicine suddenly without speaking to your doctor first.

Dapacose-M 10 Tablet is taken orally.

Dapacose-M 10 Tablet comprises two active ingredients:

• Dapagliflozin (10 mg): This ingredient works by reducing renal glucose reabsorption. As a result, more glucose is excreted through urine, effectively lowering blood sugar levels.

• Metformin (500 mg): Metformin acts by reducing the production of glucose in the liver, decreasing the absorption of glucose from the intestines, and improving insulin sensitivity. This results in better management of blood sugar levels. Additionally, the extended-release formulation allows once-a-day dosing and helps minimise gastrointestinal side effects.

• Store Dapacose-M 10 Tablet at a temperature between 20°C and 25°C.

• Keep the medicine in its original packaging to protect it from light and moisture.

• Always keep this medicine out of the reach and sight of children.

• Use Dapacose-M 10 Tablet before the expiry date marked on the package.

• Since Dapacose-M 10 Tablet is used to manage type 2 diabetes, aim for a balanced diet low in sugars and refined carbohydrates. Whole grains, lean meats, fruits, and vegetables should form a major part of your meals.

• Regular physical activity is vital for maintaining good control over your blood glucose levels. Try to fit in at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise, like brisk walking or cycling, every week.
