Delcon Mixed Fruit Flavour Oral Drops 15ml

Delcon Drops are used for the following:

• Alleviating symptoms of the common cold

• Easing symptoms related to flu

• Managing hay fever

• Providing relief from allergic rhinitis

• Decreasing the discomfort of sinusitis

• Reducing nasal congestion

• Lessening sinus pressure

• Controlling runny nose and post-nasal drip

• Minimising sneezing episodes

• Alleviating itchy, watery eyes

• Decreasing itching of the nose or throat

Give your child Delcon Drops as follows:

• Make sure to shake the bottle well before use.

• Use only the measuring device provided with the product to ensure proper dosage.

• The medicine can be given with or without food.

• If your child's symptoms persist for more than 7 days or worsen, discontinue use and consult your doctor.

Delcon Drops is given orally to your child.

Delcon Drops contains two active ingredients:

• Phenylephrine Hydrochloride (5 mg): As an α1-adrenergic receptor agonist, phenylephrine binds to and activates α-adrenergic receptors in the nasal mucosa. This causes vasoconstriction which reduces blood flow and fluid exudation thus relieving nasal congestion. It also facilitates sinus secretions drainage which improves breathing through the nose.

• Chlorpheniramine Maleate (2 mg): An alkylamine antihistamine, chlorpheniramine competes with histamine for H1-receptor sites in various parts of the body like gastrointestinal tract, blood vessels, and respiratory tract. By doing so, it limits the effects of histamine on capillary permeability and bronchial smooth muscle. This action provides relief from allergy symptoms.

• Always store Delcon Drops at room temperature, ideally between 20°C to 25°C.

• Keep the medicine in a place where children cannot reach it.

• Ensure to protect the bottle from light and moisture.

• Avoid refrigerating or freezing the medicine.

• To help manage your child's allergies, maintain a clean environment at home. Regularly dust and vacuum to reduce exposure to allergens.

• A balanced diet can boost your child's immune system. Include plenty of fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains in your child's meals. This can help them fight off colds, flu, and other respiratory illnesses.
