Deworm Tablet 1

Deworm Tablet is used in the following conditions:

• Ascariasis: It effectively treats infections caused by the roundworm Ascaris lumbricoides.
• Hookworm infections: They are also used to manage infections caused by hookworms, including Ancylostoma duodenale and Necator americanus.
• Other intestinal worms: Depending on the specific parasite involved, it may be prescribed to treat other intestinal worm infections.

• Take the tablet with a glass of water; do not chew or crush the tablet.
• It can be taken with or without food.

Deworm Tablet is taken orally.

Deworm Tablet contains the following component:

• Levamisole (50 mg): It works as an anthelmintic agent by disrupting the neuromuscular function of parasitic worms. It causes spastic paralysis in the worms, preventing their attachment to the host's intestines and facilitating their expulsion from the body. This effect helps eliminate various intestinal worms, making levamisole effective in deworming treatments.

• Store Deworm Tablet at room temperature and away from direct sunlight. 
• Do not keep this medication in locations of high moisture, like the bathroom. 
• Ensure that the tablet is perfectly sealed before opening it for use. 
• Check the expiration date of the medication and, if unsafe for use, dispose of it properly.

• Teach children the importance of regular handwashing with soap and water before meals and after using the restroom to prevent the spread of parasitic infections.
• Ensure that children have access to clean, safe drinking water. Boiling, filtering, or water purification methods can help ensure water safety. 
• When children eat raw fruits and vegetables, they are washed thoroughly to remove soil and potential parasite eggs or larvae.
• Make sure that all meat, poultry, and fish are cooked thoroughly to eliminate any parasites that may be present.
• Encourage children to avoid consuming raw or undercooked foods, such as sushi or rare meat, to minimise the risk of parasitic infections.
• Educate children about good personal hygiene practices, emphasising the importance of handwashing and maintaining clean habits.
• Keep the home environment clean and sanitary. Ensure that bathrooms, toilets, and living areas are regularly cleaned and disinfected.
• Advise children to wear shoes or sandals when playing outside, especially in areas where parasites are prevalent, to minimise direct contact with soil.
