• Ankylosing spondylitis: It is an inflammatory condition that affects the spine and can cause back pain and stiffness. Dolonex Injection can help relieve the pain and inflammation associated with ankylosing spondylitis.
• Gout: It is a type of arthritis that is caused by the buildup of uric acid crystals in the joints, which can cause pain and inflammation. Dolonex Injection can help relieve the pain and inflammation due to gout.
• Pain after operative intervention following acute trauma: Dolonex Injection can relieve pain and inflammation after operative intervention following acute trauma, allowing for a faster recovery.
• Primary dysmenorrhea or cramping pain before menstruation: Primary dysmenorrhea is a condition characterised by painful menstrual cramps that affect many women. During menstruation, the uterus produces higher levels of prostaglandins, which can cause the uterus to contract more strongly, leading to pain and cramping. Dolonex Injection can relieve the pain associated with primary dysmenorrhea. It reduces the production of prostaglandins, which are responsible for causing pain and inflammation during menstruation. Dolonex Injection can provide quick relief from menstrual pain and cramping.

• Dolonex Injection should be administered by a healthcare provider. It is not recommended to be self-administered.

Dolonex Injection dose is administered intramuscularly (IM) as an injection.

• Piroxicam is an active ingredient in Dolonex Injection and is used to relieve pain and inflammation caused by rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and other musculoskeletal disorders. It is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agent which also possesses analgesic and antipyretic properties.
• Piroxicam inhibits the Cyclooxygenase enzymes which are responsible for the production of prostaglandins, which causes pain, fever, and inflammation. By reducing the production of prostaglandins, Dolonex Injection helps to relieve pain, reduce inflammation, and improve mobility.

• Store this medicine at a temperature of 20 - 25 ºC. Do not freeze.
• Protect it from light and moisture.
• Keep Dolonex Injection away from children.
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date has passed.
• Do not store open single-dose vials for later use. Discard unused portions.

• Excess weight can stress the joints and lead to increased pain and inflammation. Maintain a healthy weight through a balanced diet and regular exercise to reduce joint pains.
• Eat a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats to reduce inflammation and improve overall health. Also, limit processed and high-sugar foods, as they may exacerbate inflammation.
• Drink plenty of water and fluids to keep joints lubricated and reduce inflammation. 
• Low-impact exercises like swimming, walking, and yoga can strengthen muscles and improve joint mobility in arthritis or joint pain.
• Get enough rest and sleep to allow the body to heal and reduce inflammation. Aim for 7-8 hours of sleep per night.
• Avoid smoking and excess alcohol consumption, as it can worsen inflammation and increase the risk of health complications.
