Doxyplus-LB Capsule is used for managing the following conditions:

• Respiratory tract infections: Infections in the lungs and airways.

• Urinary tract infections: Infections in any part of the urinary system, including kidneys, bladder, ureters, and urethra.

• Intestinal infections: Infections that affect the digestive tract.

• Eye infections: Conditions affecting the eyes due to bacteria.

• Sexually transmitted infections like gonorrhoea and syphilis: Diseases passed from one person to another through sexual contact.

• Acne: A skin condition that occurs when hair follicles become plugged with oil and dead skin cells.

• Rosacea: A chronic skin disease that causes redness and swelling on the face.

• Prevention and management of antibiotic associated diarrhoea: Diarrhoea that occurs as a side effect of taking antibiotics.

To administer Doxyplus-LB Capsule correctly, follow these instructions:

• Swallow the capsule whole with a full glass of water. Don't chew or crush it.

• Take this medicine preferably on an empty stomach, either 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal.

• Remember to stay upright for at least 30 minutes after taking this capsule to prevent irritation in your food pipe.

Doxyplus-LB Capsule is taken orally.

Doxyplus-LB Capsule contains two active ingredients:

• Doxycycline (100 mg): Belonging to the tetracycline antibiotic group, doxycycline acts by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis. It attaches to a specific part of the bacteria called the 30S ribosomal subunit, which hinders the growth of bacteria.

• Lactobacillus (5 B): This helpful probiotic restores the balance of gut microbiota that may be disrupted during antibiotic use. It competes with harmful bacteria for nutrients and produces antimicrobial compounds such as lactic acid and hydrogen peroxide which aid in maintaining gut health.

• Store Doxyplus-LB Capsule in a tightly closed container to protect it from air and moisture.

• The ideal storage temperature is room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius.

• Keep the medicine away from direct light.

• Always keep this medication out of reach of children.

• Make sure to use the medicine before its expiry date.

• Since Doxyplus-LB Capsule is prescribed for bacterial infections, maintaining good hygiene is crucial; always wash your hands properly and avoid crowded places to prevent infection.

• If you are managing acne or rosacea with this medicine, limit your sugar intake, as high sugar diets can exacerbate these conditions.
