Emsulide-P Tablet is used for the following:

Emsulide-P Tablet contains two active ingredients:

• Nimesulide (100 mg): As a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), nimesulide works by inhibiting an enzyme called cyclooxygenase in your body. This enzyme is responsible for making prostaglandins, which cause inflammation and pain. By reducing the production of prostaglandins, nimesulide helps decrease inflammation and pain.

• Paracetamol/Acetaminophen (325 mg): This component is known for its analgesic and antipyretic properties - it helps relieve pain and reduce fever. Although the exact mechanism of action isn't fully understood, paracetamol is thought to increase the pain threshold by inhibiting enzymes known as cyclooxygenases (COX-1, COX-2, and COX-3), which play a role in prostaglandin synthesis in your central nervous system.

The combined action of nimesulide and paracetamol provides enhanced relief from pain compared to either agent alone.
