• Osteoarthritis: It is characterised by joint pain, stiffness, and reduced range of motion. This condition commonly affects weight-bearing joints such as the knees, hips, and spine. Patients may experience joint swelling, tenderness, and the formation of bony outgrowths. This medication helps relieve pain and reduce inflammation, improving joint function and mobility. 
• Rheumatoid arthritis: Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune disease that primarily affects the joints. It is characterised by joint pain, swelling, and stiffness, typically involving multiple joints symmetrically. Etoshine tablets are used to manage rheumatoid arthritis to reduce pain and inflammation. It helps improve joint function and quality of life for individuals with this chronic inflammatory condition.
• Acute gouty arthritis: It is a condition characterised by sudden and severe joint pain, redness, swelling, and warmth. Gout commonly affects the joint at the base of the big toe but can also involve other joints, such as the ankle, knee, or wrist. The pain is often intense and can be accompanied by fever. Etoshine 60 mg relieves the pain and inflammation associated with acute gout attacks. It helps alleviate the symptoms and supports the management of this form of arthritis.
• Ankylosing spondylitis: It primarily affects the spine, causing chronic inflammation that leads to pain and stiffness. The symptoms of ankylosing spondylitis typically start in the lower back and may gradually involve the entire spine. Patients may experience back pain and stiffness, particularly in the morning or after periods of rest. This medication alleviates pain, reduces inflammation, and improves spinal mobility.
• Dysmenorrhoea: It refers to painful menstrual periods. The symptoms of dysmenorrhoea include lower abdominal cramps, back pain, and pelvic discomfort. Etoshine 60 mg tablet may manage dysmenorrhoea by reducing pain and inflammation associated with menstrual cramps.
• Acute dental surgery pain: This tablet may also reduce inflammation and relieve pain during dental procedures such as tooth extraction, root canal treatment, or oral surgery. It helps improve the healing process and promotes comfort during the recovery period.

• Swallow Etoshine tablet whole with a glass of water.
• Do not crush or chew the tablet, as this may affect the way the medication is absorbed in the body.
• Consult your doctor before changing the medication dose or taking them more often than prescribed.

Etoshine 60 mg tablet should be administered orally.

The active ingredient in Etoshine tablet is etoricoxib. It belongs to a class of medications known as selective cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) inhibitors. Etoricoxib inhibits the enzyme cyclooxygenase-2, which plays a role in the production of prostaglandins. These chemicals contribute to pain, inflammation, and swelling in the body.

By blocking the action of cyclooxygenase-2, this medication reduces the production of prostaglandins. It leads to a reduction in pain and inflammation. This medication selectively targets COX-2 enzymes while sparing the COX-1 enzymes, which protect the stomach lining and promote platelet function. It helps improve the symptoms associated with osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and acute gout. 

• Store this medicine at a temperature below 30 ºC.
• Protect it from light and moisture.
• Keep Etoshine 60 away from children.
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date has passed.

• Maintain a healthy weight to reduce stress on the joints.
• To reduce inflammation, increase your intake of omega-3 fatty acids found in fatty fish, flaxseeds, and walnuts.
• Limit processed foods, saturated fats, and sugar, as they can contribute to inflammation.
• Limit or avoid high-purine foods such as red meat, organ meats, and seafood.
• Incorporate cherries, berries, and low-fat dairy products into your diet, which may help reduce gout attacks.
• Engage in low-impact exercises like swimming or cycling to strengthen muscles and improve joint flexibility.
• Practise good posture and perform stretching exercises to maintain spinal flexibility.
• Apply heat or cold packs to alleviate pain and stiffness in affected areas.

• Do not take this medicine if you have severe heart problems.
• Inform your doctor if you have a history of heart attacks or strokes.
• If your symptoms persist for over three days, consult your doctor for a thorough diagnosis and treatment plan.
