Fempro Tablet 10

Fempro Tablet is used for managing:

• Hormone-receptor positive early breast cancer after menopause

• Early breast cancer in postmenopausal women who have previously had tamoxifen therapy

• Hormone-receptor positive or uncertain locally advanced or metastatic breast cancer in postmenopausal women

• Advanced breast cancer following disease progression after anti-estrogen therapy in postmenopausal women

Follow these steps while taking Fempro Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Avoid breaking, chewing or splitting the tablet.

• Try to take the medicine at the same time each day.

• Never take more than your doctor has advised.

• Don't stop taking this medicine without first consulting your doctor.

Fempro Tablet is taken orally.

Fempro Tablet contains letrozole (2.5 mg) which acts on the body through the following mechanisms:

• Aromatase Inhibition: Letrozole blocks an enzyme known as aromatase in your body. This enzyme is responsible for producing estrogen in postmenopausal women.

• Reduction of Estrogen Levels: By blocking the activity of aromatase, letrozole effectively reduces the amount of estrogen in the body.

• Control of Tumour Growth: Many breast cancers rely on estrogen to grow and spread. By decreasing estrogen levels, letrozole can slow or stop the growth of hormone-receptor positive breast tumours.

• Store Fempro Tablet at room temperature (below 30°C).

• Protect it from moisture and light exposure.

• Always keep this medicine out of the reach of children.

• Make sure to use the Fempro Tablet before its expiry date.

• Avoid foods high in cholesterol, as Fempro Tablet may increase your cholesterol levels. To manage this, opt for a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and whole grains.

• Regular, weight-bearing exercises may help strengthen your bones and reduce the risk of osteoporosis, a potential side effect of Fempro Tablet. Consult your doctor for suitable exercise options.
