Fepanil Oral Drops are used for the effective reduction of fever and the relief of mild-to-moderate pain in infants. Each 15ml bottle contains Paracetamol in a concentrated form, which works by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis in the brain to block pain signals and regulate the body’s internal temperature controller. This banana-flavoured formulation is designed for fast absorption, providing quick relief from teething pain, post-immunisation discomfort, and headaches.

• Paracetamol (100mg/ml): Paracetamol is a widely used analgesic and antipyretic. It works by inhibiting certain enzymes in the brain that are responsible for generating pain and regulating temperature. As a result, it helps manage pain and lowers fever without irritating the stomach lining. The active ingredient plays a significant role in alleviating discomfort from headaches, muscle aches, toothaches, and fever, providing relief for both mild and moderate pain. • For infants aged 1 to 3 months with an average weight of 3.8 to 5.5 kg, the dose is 0.6 to 0.8 ml per dose.
• For babies aged 3 to 9 months with an average weight of 5.5 to 8.3 kg, the dose is 0.8 to 1.2 ml per dose.
• For infants aged 9 to 12 months with an average weight of 8.3 to 10 kg, the dose is 1.2 to 1.5 ml per dose. 
• The maximum allowable dose is 60 mg per kg of body weight in divided doses within 24 hours. A minimum dosing interval of 4 hours must be maintained, and no more than four doses should be administered in any 24 hours. 
• The dosage should always be given as directed by a physician.

• Taking more than the recommended daily dose may cause serious liver damage or allergic reactions, such as swelling of the face, mouth, or throat, difficulty in breathing, itching, or rash.
• If the child has a history of liver impairment, special caution is advised. 
• The medication should not be used for more than three days without consulting a doctor. 
• The smallest effective dose should be used for the shortest period necessary.
