Fol-5 Tablet is used for the management of the following health conditions:

• Managing folate deficiency anaemia due to inadequate diet, malabsorption disorders, or certain medications

• Preventing folate deficiency during pregnancy, thus reducing the risk of neural tube defects in the developing foetus

• Management of megaloblastic anaemia resulting from folate deficiency

• As a preventive measure in conditions such as haemolytic anaemia, exfoliative dermatitis, and renal dialysis which may lead to a folate deficiency

• Acting as an adjunct treatment with methotrexate in managing rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, and inflammatory bowel disease to reduce side effects.

Here's how you should take your Fol-5 Tablet :

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water; do not crush or chew it.

• You can take this medicine with or without food.

• Do not exceed the recommended dose without consulting your doctor.

• It's crucial not to stop taking this medicine without speaking to your doctor first.

Fol-5 Tablet is taken orally.

Fol-5 Tablet contains folic acid (5 mg). The actions of folic acid on your body are as follows:
