Gaspaz DS Capsule is used for managing the following conditions:

• Active duodenal ulcers, which are sores that form in the upper part of your small intestine.

• Reducing the risk of duodenal ulcer recurrence caused by Helicobacter pylori, a kind of bacteria.

• Active benign gastric ulcers, which are sores that develop on the inner lining of your stomach.

• Symptomatic gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), a chronic condition where stomach acid flows back into your food pipe causing heartburn and other symptoms.

• Erosive oesophagitis due to acid-mediated GERD, which is inflammation and damage to your lower oesophagus from stomach acid.

• Maintenance of healing for erosive oesophagitis due to acid-mediated GERD, helping to prevent further damage from stomach acid.

• Pathological hypersecretory conditions such as Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, where the stomach produces too much acid.

To properly use Gaspaz DS Capsule, follow these instructions:

• Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water. Avoid chewing or crushing it.

• For ease of swallowing, you can sprinkle the content of the capsule on applesauce and consume it immediately.

• Take this medication about 30 to 60 minutes before meals, preferably in the morning.

• Always consult your doctor for specific advice related to your health condition and medication.

Gaspaz DS Capsule is taken orally.

Gaspaz DS Capsule consists of two key active ingredients:

• Domperidone (10 mg): As an antiemetic and prokinetic agent, domperidone works by blocking messages between your digestive system and brain. It strengthens the muscles at the start of your stomach while relaxing those at the exit. This action reduces feelings of nausea and increases prolactin release, which can stimulate breast milk production.

• Omeprazole (20 mg): As a proton pump inhibitor, omeprazole acts to reduce stomach acid production. It does this by blocking a specific enzyme in your stomach cells known as H+/K+ ATPase. This action inhibits the final step in gastric acid secretion, leading to less acid production in your stomach.

Together, these two components work in harmony to effectively manage various gastrointestinal conditions.
