• Osteopenia and osteoporosis: Osteopenia and osteoporosis are conditions characterised by decreased bone density, resulting in weakened bones that are more susceptible to fractures. Supplementing with Gemcal-D3 tablet may help prevent or treat these conditions, as calcium and vitamin D3 are essential for bone health. 
• Bone development in children: Gemcal-D3 tablet provides calcium and vitamin D3, which are crucial for proper bone formation, mineralisation, and overall skeletal health. Calcium is necessary for strong bones and teeth, while vitamin D3 aids calcium absorption and utilisation. 
• Fractures: Fractures occur when a bone is subjected to more stress than it can withstand, and they are more likely to occur in people with weakened bones. Supplementing with Gemcal-D3 tablet may help prevent fractures by improving bone density and strength. 
• Pregnancy: Calcium and vitamin D3 are important for foetal development and essential for bone and tooth formation. Adequate intake of calcium during pregnancy also helps prevent maternal bone loss. 
• Pre-eclampsia: Pre-eclampsia is a serious pregnancy complication characterised by high blood pressure and organ damage, most commonly the liver and kidneys. • Advanced age pregnancy: Pregnant women who are 35 years or older are at higher risk of certain complications, such as bone loss and low birth weight. Gemcal-D3 tablets in advanced-age pregnancy can help reduce the risk of maternal bone loss and satisfy the calcium requirement of the foetus.

• Swallow Gemcal-D3 tablet whole with a glass of water.
• Do not crush or chew the tablet, as this may affect the way the medication is absorbed in the body.
• Take Gemcal-D3 tablet at fixed times each day to maintain a consistent level of medication. 
• Follow your doctor's instructions for taking the tablet, including the dosage, frequency, and duration of treatment. 
• Do not change your Gemcal-D3 tablet dose or take them more often than prescribed.

Gemcal-D3 tablet should be administered orally.

• Store this medicine at a temperature below 30 ºC.
• Protect it from light and moisture.
• Keep Gemcal-D3 tablet away from children.
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date has passed.

• Consume foods high in calcium, such as dairy products (milk, yoghurt, cheese), leafy green vegetables (kale, spinach, broccoli), tofu, almonds, sesame seeds, and fortified foods like orange juice or cereals.
• Ensure sufficient vitamin D intake, as it helps with calcium absorption. Spend time outdoors in sunlight.
• Consume vitamin D-rich foods (fatty fish, egg yolks), and consider vitamin D supplements under medical guidance.
• Engage in weight-bearing exercises like walking, jogging, dancing, and resistance training to promote bone health, muscle strength, and calcium utilisation.
• Excessive consumption of caffeine and alcohol can interfere with calcium absorption and increase calcium excretion. Limit their intake for optimal calcium utilisation.
• Avoid smoking and exposure to secondhand smoke, as they can impair bone health and increase the risk of osteoporosis.
• Regularly visit your doctor for bone health assessments, monitoring of calcium levels, and discuss any concerns or changes in supplementation needs.
