Geripod 8 Capsule 10

Geripod 8 Capsule is used to treat symptoms of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) in adult men such as difficulty starting urination, weak urine flow, frequent or urgent need to urinate, especially at night, incomplete bladder emptying, and post-urination dribbling caused by BPH.

• Swallow the capsule whole with water.
• Do not crush, chew or open the capsule.
• If swallowing is difficult, open the capsule carefully and sprinkle its contents on a spoonful of applesauce. Swallow this mixture immediately without chewing, followed by a glass of cool water.
• Take the medicine at the same time every day.
• Always remember to consult your doctor for any specific advice regarding its administration.

Geripod 8 Capsule is taken orally.

Geripod 8 Capsule consists of silodosin (8 mg), which works as follows:

• Alpha-1 Adrenoreceptor Antagonist: Silodosin specifically targets alpha-1 adrenoreceptors found abundantly in certain areas such as the prostate gland, bladder base, bladder neck, prostatic capsule and prostatic urethra.
• Relaxation of Smooth Muscles: By blocking these receptors, silodosin causes smooth muscles in these tissues to relax. This activity helps to reduce constriction in the flow of urine through the urethra, thereby managing symptoms associated with BPH more effectively.

• Store Geripod 8 Capsule in a tightly closed container, protected from light and moisture.
• The ideal storage temperature is below 30°C.
• Keep the medicine out of the reach of children.
• Ensure you use the medication before its expiry date.
